This position provides the business knowledge and technical skills to perform the day to day duties in the Information Technology End-User Support area and provide leadership over end-user focused projects.
Provide excellent end-user support for our employees, both on-site and remote.
Deploy, troubleshoot and manage Windows systems. End-user network troubleshooting and maintenance.
Use Microsoft Deployment Tool (MDT) to create PC images to support product development and deploy user computers
Provide advice in PC configuration and selection for R&D team
Manage Active Directory user accounts, groups and Group Policy.
Manage DHCP, WINS, DNS, VPN, IIS, Print Servers, etc.
Manage outsourced SaaS solutions such as Office 365, Salesforce, WebEx, etc.
Manage Veritas Backup System and maintain good records of data backup to be stored at the third party.
Manage PBX user accounts and voice-mail system.
Manage anti-virus and anti-malware clients and servers.
Maintain IT asset tracking and software license databases.
Deploy systems and virtual machines using automated deployment. Assist QA and Technical Support Departments in use of virtualization technologies and OS Deployments.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours requests.
Assist in installation of servers, networking and storage systems in virtualization environment.
Assist Production staff in deploying product images. Train manufacturing engineers in use of advanced deployment solutions.
Troubleshoot Oracle and WindChill applications for end users.
IT equipment purchasing recommendations.
Assist users in using their portable devices with our IT infrastructure
Excellent communication skills, personal initiative and enthusiasm to help end users.
B.S. Degree in Computer Science and 5 years IT experience or equivalent Education and Experience.
Experience with Windows Operating Systems (7/8/10) and Active Directory user administration.
Experience with virtualization systems such as VMware or Hyper-V and deploying virtual machines.
Experience deploying and maintaining helpdesk and backup systems.
Ability to troubleshoot end-point networking issues and ability to configure consumer routers and access points.
Recent experience building and maintaining white-box systems from components.
Experience deploying systems using automated deployment tools.
Experience with Microsoft Deployment technologies such as MDT, WDS and WSUS.
Recent experience with end-point security and access control.
Experience planning and leading end user deployments both as standalone projects and as part of larger infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Experience administering users on PBX phone systems and familiarity with VoIP technologies are required.
Basic knowledge on backup systems and tape libraries.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a routine basis.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP network and Cisco switches
Experience with Linux system
Basic knowledge and experience on Dell and NetApp storage
Experience supporting users on Oracle EBS system is a plus.
Experience supporting users on Windchill PLM is a plus.
