This means that the primary and backup hard drives are getting full with scan data. This can be remediated by archiving your scans from the primary and backup hard drives to either two external hard drives or to an NAS drive. Please consult your Optovue User’s Manual for more details or contact Optovue Technical Support for assistance.
The backup function does not remove the scans from the local and backup drives, so it does not free up space in those drives. The backup function is built in to the application to automatically create a backup copy of any scan taken. The backup scan is saved in the Backup Drive (D:/ drive for RTVue/XR and M:/ drive for iVue/iScan). A secondary backup drive can be installed and configured if needed in the Tools > User Preference settings. The secondary backup drive can be an external hard drive or a network drive. A drive letter is needed, so if a network drive is going to be used, it will need to be mapped to the computer.
