New Program Offers Education and Training for Optovue Customers

FREMONT, CA – JULY 7, 2015 – Optovue, a pioneer in spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), has launched Optovue Academy, an online learning portal offering clinical education, technician training and practice development tracks. Content will be delivered via video PowerPoint presentations, recordings of live presentations, a library of research documents, a forum where learners can comment, and a calendar of live events supported or hosted by Optovue Academy.

"Optovue Academy was created to give eye care professionals the clinical knowledge they need to offer a higher level of medical eye care with OCT," said Larry Alexander, O.D., F.A.A.O., Sr. Director of Clinical Education for Optovue. "In addition, this program supports the practice as a whole by providing training for technicians and resources for growing the practice with advanced imaging technology."

"Optovue is committed to our customers' success with OCT," said Christina Kirby, Marketing Director for Optovue. "This program demonstrates that commitment by giving eye care professionals the tools they need to enhance patient care with their Optovue OCT, improve operator scan acquisition skills and maximize the return on their investment in the instrumentation."

Optovue Academy will be updated continually with new video courses, articles and discussion threads. To learn more or request login credentials, visit www.OptovueAcademy.com.
